Boldy going where no St Louis label has gone before is Farfetched — covering everything from gypsy-hop to electro-soul and everything in between on their seminal 18 track compilation, Prologue. Each song on the album explores a different corner of the sonic universe, but a kind of kinship can be found through their dedication to experimentation and innovation. One such example is the standout track ‘Bloom Of The Android’ (above) - a skittering cut of electronica, now set to 16 bit video courtesy of Makakinidani. Other standouts include the sinister electro-burner ‘Dreamscape’, the throwback banger ‘Double Trouble’, and the bossanova trip-hop grooves of ‘Playtonik’. And yes — Prologue’s offerings are numerous and vast. But in this blogs opinion it delivers exactly what it says it will. Something new. Stream the album in its entirety below.
